Aged care services

In each of our 13 residential care sites located across the greater Adelaide and Yorke Peninsula regions, we aim to give you peace of mind with our care. Our day therapy centre in Hendon provides individual and group allied health services such as exercise programs, physiotherapy and podiatry.

Welcome home to Eldercare

We understand that moving into care is a big decision. You can trust Eldercare to make the process as simple as possible and support you to settle into your new home.

We will work with you to create a unique care plan considering the needs of your mind, body and spirit to support your optimal health and wellbeing. We'll also get to know you – learning about your likes and dislikes, interests and needs.

Diversity of culture, religion, spirituality, gender identity, sexual orientation, degree of ability, socio-economic background, personal experience and opinion is valued and encouraged.

With the support of our clinical, allied health and lifestyle teams, you’ll be encouraged to maintain your mobility and independence and engage in activities that provide purpose, connection and dignity.

At Eldercare you’ll be joining a vibrant community where your individuality is celebrated and supported.

Providing peace of mind with our care is our top priority.

Your new home

Eldercare’s 13 residential aged care homes are bright and welcoming.

Each home has communal dining rooms and sitting rooms where residents gather to chat, watch TV or join various activities. There are also smaller areas for more private visits with family and friends. All sites also have a hair salon and activity areas, and most have a gym and chapel space. Our Mount Barker home even has its own art studio.

All homes have beautifully maintained gardens, some featuring vegetable patches established and tended by residents.

Each Eldercare home has its own kitchen, so all meals are prepared fresh on-site, using South Australian produce wherever possible, and dietitian-approved menus change with each season.

We take great pride in our housekeeping and encourage you to decorate your room with items that make you feel at home. We also have on-site laundries to ensure towels, linen and clothing are kept fresh and clean.

Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited on Eldercare property. You will not be offered a place at Eldercare if you smoke.

Your care team

At Eldercare you will be supported by a team of professional and caring staff.

We carefully recruit, train and support the people who care for you, ensuring that all staff are appropriately qualified, insured, police checked and supervised.

Your clinical care will be coordinated by a senior registered nurse, appointed as your case manager. You’ll also receive ongoing support from the qualified nurses who are on duty at every Eldercare site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our dedicated and qualified personal carers are responsible for your day-to-day care and can assist with activities such as bathing, dressing and eating if you require support.

Allied health professionals including physiotherapists and occupational therapists will work with you to optimise your health and mobility, and our spiritual care practitioners are there to support your spiritual and emotional wellbeing in a way that respects your beliefs – whether you are religious or not.

Each of our homes offers a rich calendar of individual and group lifestyle activities for you to choose from such as exercise classes, craft, gardening, dance and wine and cheese tasting, and we’ll support you to stay engaged with community activities and with family and friends.

Additionally, Eldercare’s 200+ volunteers bring their skills, passions and energy into our homes, helping you to achieve your aspirations.
