Eldercare’s Day Therapy Centre in Hendon provides individual and group allied health services to older people in Adelaide’s western suburbs.
Day therapy services
If you are aged 65+ and living independently, you may be eligible to access services to help you maintain your wellbeing, independence, function and social connections. If you are Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander or homeless you can access services from the age of 50.
Eldercare's highly qualified and dedicated day therapy centre team will work with you to develop an affordable, individualised support plan that helps you:
- maintain your independence
- improve your mobility, balance and fitness
- address chronic health problems
- manage everyday activities
Your plan may include:
Physiotherapy to improve and maintain functional balance, strength and flexibility.
Occupational therapy to help you maintain the activities and roles that are important to you through treatment and advice.
Podiatry to maintain general foot health through foot, nail and diabetic care including footwear advice.
Speech pathology to assist with problems relating to speech, communication and swallowing.
Funding and fees
Eldercare’s day therapy services can be provided through the government's Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). This means your fees are subsidised to help make your support plan more affordable.
Your eligibility to receive CHSP-subsidised services through Eldercare’s day therapy centre is determined via My Aged Care. For more information, call 1800 200 422 or go to the My Aged Care website.
Some services can also be provided to clients on Home Care Packages, NDIS, GP Care Plans and Chronic Disease Management Plans and you have the option to pay for services privately.
