Background

The Lodge was built on the site of Parkin Wesley Theological College, and the present facility is a blending of "the old and the new". Renovations were completed in 1999, and in 2008, a historic marker was laid to celebrate the history of The Lodge.

Environment & Services

Situated five minutes from the centre of Adelaide, The Lodge offers residents stylish, modern facilities, in a blue-ribbon location.

The Lodge offers single rooms with en suites, individually adjustable air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Foxtel and personal telephone connections. A daily newspaper can also be provided on request.

The residential areas feature wide corridors with garden views, and the main dining room, private dining room, activity and administration areas are located within the stately heritage building.

We have a highly skilled team of nursing staff  to ensure clinical needs are of a high quality. The Lodge also has visiting hairdressers, beauticians, podiatrists and massage therapists.

Quality Dining

The Lodge offers a cooked breakfast every morning and a choice of three courses for lunch and evening meals. Light meals are available on request throughout the day, in addition to morning and afternoon tea, and a happy hour is held each week.

Meals are available for guests on request, and for special occasions The Lodge offers a private dining room for residents and their guests. All cuisine is prepared onsite by our own chefs and menus can be modified to suit nutritional or special dietary requirements.

Community & Social Networks

The Lodge’s well-regarded Carols in the Backyard and Anzac Day Services give residents an opportunity to come together with their extended family, and enjoy our landscaped gardens and spacious entertainment areas.

In collaboration with Unley Council, we maintain links with social services, including a community bus, mobile library and elderly citizens clubs.

There is a strong chaplaincy program in place at the Lodge, and the Wayville Christ Church (Uniting Church) is located next door.

Lifestyle Activities

There is a computer kiosk on site where residents can Skype with loved ones and friends. Some of the activity groups at the Lodge include poetry and arts groups, Men’s groups, a Coffee Club, and gardening group.

Admission Criteria

An accommodation bond is payable for admission to The Lodge*.
*Accommodation Bond will be refunded in accordance with Commonwealth Government legislation.
