World War II: Reflections Project

Eldercare salutes Sash Ferguson residents Lesley Keane and Maurice Hennessy who appeared in 'Today Tonight's' recent story about the World War II 'Reflections Project'.

Lesley, Maurice, Charles 'Chas' Fisher and Lindsay Morgan from our Mount Barker residential aged care facility have joined other returned servicemen and women from around Australia for a special pictorial project honouring World War II veterans and commemorating the ANZAC centenary.

The Australian Institute of Professional Photography’s (AIPP) ‘Reflections Project’ aims to photograph every World War II veteran in the country for a portrait book that will be presented to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra later this year.

South Australian project coordinator Louise Bagger is encouraging veterans to register through the AIPP website so they can be photographed by the end of July.

Watch Paul Makin’s story about the ‘Reflections Project’ on Channel 7’s ‘Today Tonight’.
