Recently appointed Sash Ferguson Site Operations Manager Daniel Fleming said the show-themed entertainment, food and drink will appeal to people of all ages.

“We’ll have a bouncy castle, magician, animal experiences, live music and a cart pulled by a Clydesdale that will take guests on rides around the facility,” said Daniel.

“In addition to the entertainment, we’ll have a food truck, sausage sizzle, Devonshire tea and a cake stall featuring homemade treats.

“Residents have been looking forward to this since the previous event in 2017 and I encourage the community to join us in the heart of the Hills for our very own ‘Show Day’.”

Several works of art, created by Sash Ferguson residents in their art studio, will also be displayed along the hallways of the building.

Daniel said the event, which was first held in 2017, enables residents to enjoy a ‘show day’ experience and provides opportunities for meaningful social connection with members of the wider Mount Barker community.

This year’s event will also support local business operators with all participating vendors based in the Adelaide Hills region and staff and volunteers are donating their time to ensure the event is a success.

Full proceeds will be used to fund ongoing social activities for Sash Ferguson residents including the end of year Christmas and holiday celebrations.

The Eldercare Sash Ferguson ‘Show Day’ fundraising community event will be held on Saturday 17 August from 10am until 3pm at 8 Fletcher Road in Mount Barker. Entry is free.
