Residential Care Accreditation and Standards

All of our sites are accredited by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, formerly the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, who conduct announced and unannounced inspections of our residential care facilities regularly.

An independent organisation established by the Commonwealth Government, the Commission sets the benchmark for how Eldercare operates and the quality of care provided to its residents. These expected outcomes are in areas such as human resource management, clinical care, medication management, privacy and dignity, cultural and spiritual life and the physical environment.

The accreditation process was developed by the Commonwealth Government, and requires that to continue to receive funding, residential care homes must demonstrate that they meet the Standards.
