The Lodge is conveniently located on King William Road at Wayville and combines the elegance of heritage architecture with new and refurbished accommodation wings complemented by attractive courtyards and extensive gardens.
Eldercare’s $15.2 million redevelopment of The Lodge commenced in March 2015 and was completed at the end of November 2016.

The Lodge offers residents superior facilities in a premium location and all resident rooms and common areas are either brand new or recently refurbished.
Homelike features including fireplaces with mantlepieces are installed throughout the facility along with designer décor and fittings. The grounds of the facility which feature multiple rose gardens, a historic water fountain and garden beds filled with seasonal flowers are well maintained.
There is a secure Memory Support Unit for residents requiring specialised dementia care services and the team at The Lodge has embraced our award-winning Dementia Excellence Program which is leading the way in person-centred care for people with dementia.
The Lodge’s family room with private bathroom allows family members and friends to temporarily stay with their loved one overnight should they fall ill.
The Lodge is home to a dedicated hairdressing salon and day spa with services available at additional cost. The Lodge’s hairdresser visits twice a week and the beautician provides a monthly service.
All meals are cooked on-site daily by a chef with three courses served for lunch and dinner each day.

These rights are outlined in the Australian Government’s Charter of Aged Care Rights and they apply when you start receiving Government-subsidised residential care services.
Eldercare’s residential care services are accredited by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission who conduct regular unannounced visits.
Eldercare must demonstrate that it meets all eight Standards in order to continue to receive funding from the Australian Government.

The Lodge’s comprehensive Lifestyle Program is run by a dedicated team and includes, but is not limited to, various activity and interest groups, shopping trips and excursions. Volunteers also provide Lifestyle Program support.
Some of the lifestyle options at The Lodge include pet therapy, outdoor walks, flower arranging and a coffee club as well as a men’s group and gardening group. Shopping trips are also held once a week and excursions to varying destinations occur twice a month.
Residents participate in community events such as ‘Carols in the Backyard’ and ANZAC Day Services which offer residents an opportunity to come together with their extended family and mark important cultural occasions.
Family members and friends are encouraged to visit The Lodge on a ‘come-and-go’ basis and family meetings are scheduled regularly to keep family members involved in their loved one’s care.
The Lodge’s chaplain is on-site Monday to Friday to provide emotional and spiritual support to residents, families and friends and the Wayville Christ Church, of the Uniting Church, is located next door.
The Lodge is a five-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD and can be accessed via the nearby City to Glenelg tram line. It is also a short walk to the Hyde Park shopping and café precinct and the Adelaide parklands.
Facilities at The Lodge include the heritage-listed building known as White House. The building was originally constructed in 1905 by Richard White who was the manager of Harris Scarfe at the time. Today, it houses the main reception area as well as communal living and dining areas.
