Allambi resident Nita celebrates 100 years

Eldercare Allambi resident Nita Richardson celebrated her 100th birthday a bit differently earlier this month but it was still spent with family – and plenty of birthday cake.

Nita spent time with her family at the Glengowrie aged care home’s ‘window of love’.

“It made me feel lovely to see their smiling faces – it gave me a boost and an extra tick in my heart!” said Nita.

Nita celebrated with two birthday cakes and read well wishes from family, friends – and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Nita said her tips to living a long life involved food, activity and mindset.

“I’ve always eaten good food, like the food here, and I’ve always been active, especially in the garden,” said Nita.

“And I always try to stay positive!”
