The volunteers set up a stove and billy on the verandah so they could have coffee outside the dining room while residents enjoyed scones and coffee inside.

Sash Ferguson Wellbeing Consultant Gail Bell called volunteer Wendy and put the group on speaker phone so they could talk with the residents.

Gail said the look on the residents’ faces when the volunteers came around the corner was ‘amazing’.

“The residents are missing the volunteers very much, so everyone loved it,” said Gail.
