Partnering with Schools
Eldercare residents enjoy connecting with younger people. With 12 residential care facilities located across Greater Adelaide and the Yorke Peninsula, we would like to build relationships with local primary, secondary and area schools and create meaningful intergenerational relationships between residents and students.
Opportunities for intergenerational relationships at Eldercare include:
- students and teachers visiting a residential care facility to connect, teach and learn from residents
- students staging dance, theatre and music performances for residents
- students and residents forming long-term friendships
- Eldercare staff members visiting schools to explain the benefits of intergenerational connections
Search our residential care facility locations to find the one closest to your school and register your interest with our Volunteer Program Coordinator today.
