Why work for Eldercare?

Eldercare is one of South Australia’s most respected and experienced aged care providers offering a values-based culture and a wide range of benefits to employees.

Why work for Eldercare?

Eldercare is a not-for-profit values-based organisation with a team of more than 1,500 staff.

As one of South Australia’s most respected and experienced aged care providers, we pride ourselves on delivering quality aged care services and making a positive difference to the lives of older South Australians.

Our team of dedicated employees and volunteers are passionate about doing the very best for the people we care for and are driven by a desire to make a meaningful and fulfilling contribution.

We have a clear vision for the organisation and a strategic plan to help us achieve a range of aspirational and innovative initiatives that continually enhance our workplace and care delivery.

Values-based culture

Eldercare’s positive workplace culture embraces our three core organisational values:

Respect – we protect the dignity, rights and values of individuals.

Accountability – we are all responsible for working safely and with integrity.

Connection – we develop vibrant and supportive relationships based on warmth and generosity.

A supportive and inclusive environment

We place people at the heart of everything we do at Eldercare and believe everyone deserves to be respected. Diversity of experience, culture and opinion is valued and encouraged regardless of your culture, religion, spirituality, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, socio-economic background or personal experiences.

As a White Ribbon accredited workplace, we are committed to preventing violence against women and have zero-tolerance for gender-based violence.

ElderPRIDE is our commitment to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse and intersex (LGBTIQ) residents, family members, staff and volunteers to ensure everyone feels welcomed and safe. In September 2019, we received Rainbow Tick accreditation in recognition of our LGBTIQ inclusive practices.

Eldercare is also dedicated to promoting gender equity with Chief Executive Jane Pickering appointed Chair of South Australia’s Chiefs for Gender Equity group.
