Eldercare is one of South Australia’s largest and most experienced not-for-profit aged care providers.
Eldercare’s story began in 1959 when the Congregational Union of S.A. Homes for the Aged began to care for older South Australians at Allambi in the suburb of Glengowrie.
Our charitable origins continue to guide us today – meaning that we always put purpose before profit.
The wellbeing of our residents is central to everything we do and the way we recruit, train and support the people who provide care to our residents is fundamental to our ongoing success.
A lot has changed since 1959 and aged care is now a complex business. We strive every day to maintain the ‘heart’ in our organisation while responding to a rigorous and evolving regulatory framework.
Our strong, focussed leadership group sets our strategic directions and makes sure we meet our goals and achieve our potential. We strive for constant improvement and innovation in our practice. We are clear about what business we are in and do it well every day.
Our core values of respect, accountability and connection challenge us to understand and value the differences that each of our employees and residents bring to Eldercare. Together, with courage, we face the challenges as well as the benefits of diversity.
You can trust Eldercare to work with you to support your wellbeing - mind, body and spirit, to support our valued staff, solve problems and run the organisation well.
