Eldercare secures new site to support future aged care needs

Eldercare is pleased to share news of a new acquisition in Adelaide’s west, at the corner of Light Terrace and Port Road, which formed part of the former Coca‑Cola site.

We thank AnglicareSA for the opportunity to acquire this site and for their work in supporting the South Australian community.

Eldercare Chief Executive Jane Pickering said the proposed development would help to fill the shortage of residential aged care accommodation.

“With growing demand for residential aged care, Eldercare is actively helping to ease pressure on the sector, while delivering high quality care to those who need it,” Ms Pickering said.

The Australian Government estimates that an additional 50,000 residential aged care places are required nationally by 2030.

“This investment will allow us to build a fit-for-purpose site that enables older people to receive individualised support through our best-practice model of care,” Ms Pickering added.
