10,000 Steps Challenge 2024

The 10,000 Steps Program provides a free, fun, and interactive behaviour change program so that workplaces, communities, and various groups can nurture social and physical environments that support active living and foster healthy people and healthy places.

Enter the Eldercare 10,000 Steps Challenge for your chance to win a Garmin watch.

How to sign up to 10,000 steps challenge.

Step 1: Sign up and choose how to track

  1. Go to the 10,000 Steps website and select Sign Up.
  2. Enter your details to create your own account.
  3. Talk with your colleagues and see who wants to form a team of 6. Choose a captain!
  4. Use the registration form available in the staff room (WHS notice board) and fill in your team name, with team mates and each team member's email address. Use the same email as you signed in with.
  5. Scan and email this to whs.team@eldercare.net.au
  6. Check your emails (don't forget to check your junk folder) and click on the link provided to verify your email address.
  7. You are now ready to access your account and Dashboard where you can enter your steps.

Step 2: Make every move count

Your Tournament progress will be accessible through each member's Dashboard. Team captains can encourage your team to move more to make their steps count for them and their team. Participants will be able to view their team's steps and progress compared to other teams on the Tournament Leaderboard.

FAQ

1. If we can't get 6 colleagues to make a team, can we still enter the competition?

Yes - you can complete the registration form with the team members you have.

2. Do my team members need to be from the same site?

No - team members can be from any Eldercare sites.

3. Can I enter this competition on my own if I can't find a team?

Yes - we can find a team to enter you into.

4. What is the captain's role?

As a captain your job is to encourage your colleagues/team members.
