Eldercare’s story began in 1959 when the Congregational Union of S.A. Homes for the Aged began to care for older South Australians at Allambi. This was the beginning of Eldercare as we know it today. Because of our origins, Eldercare has always put purpose before profit.
Eldercare’s focus on really caring for our aged care residents is a key foundation in our success. We grew from this.
We have built on our determination to put the wellbeing of our residents at the centre of everything we do. This has only been possible because of the way we recruit, train and support the people who provide the care.
Times and values change. Providing aged care is now a complex business. We have to find the right balance between complying with standards and regulations and maintaining the ‘heart’ in our business.
Our strong, determined, focussed leadership sets challenging directions and makes sure we meet our goals and achieve our potential. Eldercare’s leadership strives for constant improvement and innovation in our practice. We are clear about what business we are in and do it well every day.
Our core values of respect, accountability and connection challenge us to understand and value the differences of everyone at Eldercare, both residents and our staff. With courage, together we face the challenges as well as the benefits of diversity.
You can trust Eldercare to work with you to best support your wellbeing of mind, body and spirit, to support our valued staff, solve problems and run the organisation well.
