2020 flu vaccinations

The Australian Government has declared that from 1 May 2020, you must receive your annual influenza (flu) vaccination to visit or work in an aged care facility.

From this time, visitors will be required to produce evidence of their 2020 seasonal influenza vaccination or proof of medical exemption before being allowed entry to any of Eldercare’s aged care homes.

Visit the state government COVID-19 website to read more about visiting
residential care facilities.

Keep up to date on our response to COVID-19

Eldercare Seaford was built in 2008 and is located on Adelaide's beautiful and rapidly developing southern coast.

  • Residential Aged Care
  • Memory Support Unit
  • Respite Care
  • On-site Gymnasium
  • On-site Hairdressing Salon

The site has landscaped gardens, a gazebo area for BBQs and family functions, water features and outdoor seating for family and friends. Our beautiful courtyards are visible from walkways and rooms above, providing a stimulating outlook. Several garden areas have raised beds for resident use through our gardening program.

Residents of the memory support unit also enjoy secure courtyard gardens and entertaining areas.

An internet café is available for residents to utilise, with assistance from volunteers, to 'Skype' and email to enable residents to maintain relationships with families and friends; particularly with those who live interstate or overseas. Our on-site hairdressing salon is conveniently located on the ground floor.

A chef prepares all food on-site daily with two courses served for lunch and three courses for dinner each day. A cooked breakfast is offered one day per week with a continental breakfast served on the remaining days.

In addition to our comprehensive clinical care program, our lifestyle activities are culturally sensitive and offer a wide variety of group and individual activities. Our Pets As Therapy program, in particular, is very popular with residents. We have a home theatre area where movies and documentaries are shown.

We have strong community ties with our large volunteer base and strong links with the Seaford Ecumenical Mission and local public and private schools. A variety of fundraising events such as our fete provides valuable funds to support our lifestyle program.

Family and friends are encouraged to play an active role in the social life of the facility and we promote regular communication with them via relatives meetings, newsletters, email and text messages.

To complement our high quality service, we provide an Additional Services package that includes a variety of features for your added care and comfort:

These rights are outlined in the Australian Government’s Charter of Aged Care Rights and they apply when you start receiving Government-subsidised residential care services.

Eldercare’s residential care services are accredited by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission who conduct regular unannounced visits.

Eldercare must demonstrate that it meets all eight Standards in order to continue to receive funding from the Australian Government.
