The original Kirkholme facility was built in 1965. As the site was aging and no longer fit for purpose, residents were relocated to redeveloped Eldercare facilities at The Lodge in Wayville and Allambi in Glengowrie at the end of 2016.

Kirkholme has long been an important part of the Goodwood community and, as with all Eldercare facilities, we highly value the interface between our residents and staff and the local community. Our new facility will provide best practice aged care within the Goodwood community.

After an extensive planning and consultation period, which included addressing concerns raised by neighbours, Unley Council and the State Planning Commission, the new Eldercare - Goodwood will begin to take shape in February 2022 with the appointment of our builder, Sarah Constructions. Initial site mobilisation will commence shortly with major groundworks commencing in late February 2022.
