Community, creativity, and cuddles: Eldercare Sash Ferguson’s show day highlights
Earlier this month, the residents at Mount Barker aged care home Sash Ferguson had a special day as they celebrated Show Week with students from Waldorf School.
Residents and students paraded through the halls, accompanied by uplifting music – even those residents who couldn't join the procession could take part by waving to the passing students.
In the morning, the Two Hearts Duo captivated everyone and set the tone for the day. Adding to the excitement were cuddly encounters with baby wombats and lambs, with residents and students bonding over their furry friends.
The afternoon was dedicated to artistic expression, with balloon twisters creating incredible shapes, face painting stations transforming eager residents and students into vibrant characters, and a cake stall raising funds for future Lifestyle activities. Thank you to the incredible families and friends who generously contributed their homemade treats.
