R U OK? A conversation can change a life

R U OK? is a public health promotion charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives.

R U OK day

Asking the question, 'are you OK?' can make a real impact in the workplace. As employers or staff, we can all create a culture where people feel confident asking and answering this simple yet important question. Besides our legal responsibility of providing a safe and healthy workplace, these conversations can make a real difference to staff going through a tough time.

Eldercare values of respect, accountability and connection are well aligned with the goals of the R U OK? charity. If any of us can help one of our workmates get the support they need during a tough time, then we are showing our commitment to the Eldercare values.

More information on how to have the R U OK? conversation can be found on R U OK? Website.
